FRÖLING: Groundbreaking of the site expansion with BM Niki Berlakovich
Biomass boiler manufacturer is building 12,000 m² logistics and dispatch hall
St. Georgen, 8 April 2011. The Grieskirchner biomass boiler manufacturer Fröling expanded its production facility in Stritzing a modern logistics and dispatch hall. "The company is Fröling in terms of renewable energy and energy efficiency set a good example and proves that to be made with climate and environmental protection money. Thus, valuable green jobs created and the energy dependence on politically unstable countries often reduced. My goal is energy self-sufficiency in Austria, so that our country is on balance produces as much energy as it also consumes. Modern biomass boilers as the company Fröling can make a valuable contribution, "said Environment Minister Niki Berlakovich occasion of the solemn groundbreaking ceremony for the location extension at 08 April 2011. Even economic Viktor Sigl, agricultural Provincial Max Hiegelsberger, NR Wolfgang Großruck, District Mag Christoph Schweitzer, Mayor Maria Pacheco, Mayor David Holter and WK District Chairman Laura Pöttinger were at this important event here.
The Froling production halls, which were first opened in 2007, will grow with the extension by a further 12,000 m². CEO and company owner, Dr. Ernst Hutter: "The trend around the issue of biomass and the consequent high demand for our products remains strong. The new distribution center, we are prepared for the demands of the future. "The new central warehouse for Europe and worldwide distribution will be equipped with about 4,000 pallets and 10 docking bays. The new logistics center will expand even in the coming heating season, the flexibility and speed of Grieskirchner family business further.
Pioneer of modern heating technology for 50 years
For the past 50 years Fröling is a pioneer of modern heating technology. Fröling developed and produced the biomass boiler for the power range of 8 – 1000 kW in its own factories in Grieskirchen and Stritzing. The family is now Europe’s largest biomass boiler manufacturer, known for excellent quality and good service. The production plant in Fröling Stritzing is one of the most modern steel processing centers in Austria. A total of about 600 people are employed by Fröling. 70 percent of the biomass boilers will be exported. As the world’s main markets are Europe, many countries apart from Austria, the United States and other countries.
A large number of quality awards (innovation awards, Energy Globe, Pegasus, best family OÖ, etc.) emphasize the successful path of Grieskirchner family business. All Fröling biomass boiler to 220 kW have become the Austrian eco-label.
